It's disgusting, I know. But everyone has to start somewhere.
I worked as a shading / lighting artist on Free Willy 4, probably touching close to 70 full CG shots. Was an insane learning curve for me because I had just started working at Blackginger and had only been on Houdini for a month or two. Biggest technical growth was in terms of writing shaders and handling (what seemed to be at the time) massive renders.
I look back at this and laugh, I knew nothing back then. And now I know just a little bit more than nothing
